Counselling options



The UWA Counselling and Psychology Service does not offer an out-of-hours emergency counselling service.

However, we will endeavour to speak to you within 24 hours of your initial contact should you feel your situation is urgent.

If you are unable to wait there are several external services if you or someone you know is in crisis.

Critical incidents

The Service has special expertise in the area of critical incident response.

It is important that any event such as an episode of violence, fire or explosion, flood, severe storm, bomb threat, suicide or threat of harm to self or others is dealt with in an appropriate manner which facilitates recovery of those affected.  

In the case of a critical incident, contact UWA Security on (6488) 2222, who will co-ordinate an emergency response.
