Daniel's Vector Calculator
v 1.0
This is really easy to use, just enter two vectors of the same dimensions into the two top boxes, with scalars
in front of them. No brackets required, just separate each component with a comma, eg 1,2,3. You can use fractions in
both the scalar and vector boxes, eg 1/2,2/3. However, don't use decimals (they will be rounded before calculation).
If you use fractions (like you should) the larger the denominator, the longer, the calculation time. If a component
is zero, then put a zero in the space, because a blank space will cause an error.
You can use as many number of dimensions you like, however, the cross product is only defined in three dimensions.
Note that the dot product calculation is slow if you have lots of fractions, so try not to use unnecessary fractions.
IMPORTANT:
This page is seriously browserist. The Vector Calculator will only work properly in Netscape!
This vector calculator was made for my use only and as such you use it at your own risk. I am not responsible for any
errors that are generated by the code on this page or any marks lost as a result of it. However, feel free to
abuse me and tell me what it does wrong by emailing me - my contact details are available
here. Note the actual calculator hasn't been modified since 1999 and
last time I used it, Netscape 4 was popular, so I don't give any guarantees it will still work.
