There will be ten players in the comp, divided into two groups of five. Within each group, a round robin competition will be played. At the end of the round robin comp, the top two players (as ranked by points and percentage) will qualify for the finals. A win counts for four points, a draw two and a loss none.
There will be three rounds in the finals. In the first round, the first ranked players of each group play each other (game 1), and the second ranked players play each other (game 2). The loser of game 2 is knocked out. In the second round, the loser of game 1 plays the winner of game 2 (game 3). And finally, the winner of game 1 will play the winner of game 3 in the grand final. In the event of a draw, the match will be replayed. The winner will be the champion of Slime in CS until the next tourney (which might be never!)
Games shall be played in Internet Explorer 5 under Windows 2000 one of the labs 2.5 or 2.7 in the UWA Computer Science building. The version shall be AFL Slime and players shall choose their respective teams before the game starts. Round robin games shall be played in two halves of three minutes (five minutes for finals), with a short break in between. Players shall swap sides during the break. The first named player shall have choice of which side to sit on for the first half. No Slime codes may be entered, except for Night Slime if both players agree.
Both players must email me after the game and tell me when the game was played and the computer that the game was played on. I will then look up the result of the game in the game log. Results might not be posted until the end of the round. If you don't play a game, you'll be awarded a draw.
