Flying Start

Further information

Flying Start really helped me get used to the campus and become familiar with it, breaking a lot of those nerves I had. Also, I met a lot of new people which was really good too. So all in all, it was a very good start to Uni and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Our two-day Flying Start orientation program is a great chance to make new friends and find out things about Uni before your first day.

All Flying Start events are free and they don't clash with other orientation events so you can attend both.

You must be a member of UniSkills to be eligible. It’s free to join. Applications will open in January 2015.

Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February 2015

There is an overnight stay at a residential college.

All activities and accommodation are free of charge.

At Flying Start you can:

  • meet other first year students
  • visit areas of interest in which you will be studying
  • get to know the Uni campus
  • receive study skills advice
  • learn about life as a university student from older students
  • participate in fun social activities.

Fun activities cater for everyone.
