Link Week is held in Week 3 of Semester 1 and provides opportunities for new and current UWA students to ‘link’ back into essential resources and information relating to study and life at University.
Link Week is held in Week 3 of Semester 1 because:
- It is the final week for you to add units.
- As a new student you will have completed one week of your full study program (lectures, labs and tutes) and may be feeling overwhelmed with the study requirements.
- It provides a safety net to students who have not yet developed links with the university campus, staff and student community.
Activities
The Link Week Expo is happening on Tuesday 12 March in the Guild precinct . This is your chance to reconnect with the services and supports available around the campus, for new and current students. Visit the various stalls, pick up the free giveaways, sign up to clubs and have a chance of winning prizes.

Around the campus
This year, other parts of the University are jumping on the Link Week band wagon and have organised to run events in their area.
Monday 11 March 3:00pm-4:00pm [Indoor sports hall UWA Sports and Recreation Centre]
Jump start Fitness Circuit Sample Program. Come and experience this fun group class session as a taster of what you can recieve through a Fitness membership. Wear appropriate fitness attire, bring a towel and water and get into the spirit of Link Week by wearing green. There will be random spot prizes for the best green dressed participant.
Thursday 14 March 5:00pm-7:00pm First Flock Welcome Event [Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery]
All 1st year students are invited to attend the First Flock Welcome Event hosted by the Cultural Precinct. This is an opportunity to discover your museum and gallery on campus and meet some fellow first year students. Please RSVP by Monday 11 March lwag@uwa.edu.au or call 64883707
Travelling Roadshow
During Link Week, the Student Services Travelling Roadshow will be on tour between 12noon and 2pm each day. The Link Week buggy will be coming to a location near you. Ask any burning questions that you have, grab entries to our competition. This is your opportunity to sign up with a Faculty Society, grab a quick bite to eat, connect with some other students and discover how we at Student Support Services can help you.
