Predeparture information
The International Centre have prepared pre-departure information for international students to help you with organising your departure, arriving in Perth and settling in at UWA.
ConnectMe@UWA program
If you are starting university, are new to Perth (including International students) and would like to connect with other students prior to coming to UWA then the ConnectMe@UWA program may be for you. Through the program you will be introduced to other new and existing UWA students. We will also help you connect to services and support to assist you to settle into your studies.
To register for the program you need to be new to Perth and have accepted to your offer to study at UWA. If you join the program before you arrive in Perth, a ConnectMe@UWA Leader (current UWA student ) will get in contact with you by email. The leader will support your journey to starting to study at UWA, providing general information on life at the University and details of ConnectMe social events.
Your leader will also inform you about other transition programs for first year students such as UniSkills and UniMentor. Through these programs you will have the opportunity to attend further social and networking events and meet current students as well as new students.

Volunteer to be a ConnectMe@UWA Leader
If you are a current UWA student who is in 2nd year and above and would like to support the journey of New to Perth students (including International) who are starting University in 2012, the ConnectMe@UWA Program may be for you. You must be available to contact new students up to one month before orientation week of the coming semester (via email) and undertake an intensive two-hour training program.
