Make an appointment

The Medical Centre has a schedule of fees covering students, staff and visitors.

Students with a Medicare card

Students with a current Medicare card are direct billed or 'bulk' billed for consultations. A current Medicare card should be brought along to first appointment.

International students

International students will have medical insurance as part of their visa requirement.  A current membership card should be brought to EACH appointment.

For those students and their families who are covered by Worldcare and Medibank Private a $5.00 fee is charged at the time of consultation. The remainder of the consultation fee is claimed directly from Worldcare or Medibank Private by the Medical Centre.

UWA staff and visitors

Staff and visitors are requested to pay their account on the day of consultation. We can, however, transmit the payment electronically  to Medicare for reimbursement directly to patient’s bank account.

Payment for work related injuries are to be paid at the time of consultation. Reimbursement for these costs will be met from the employer’s insurance company once liablity for the injury is accepted.

Health Care Card holders

Consultation fees for holders of a current Health Care Card are directly billed to Medicare. However, a current valid card must be sighted at each visit.

Other costs

Costs of immunisations and other medications are to be paid at time of consultation.

On the day payments can be made by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.
