Our staff aim to provide convenient, confidential and comprehensive medical care for students and staff of the University.
We are well equipped to provide a full range of general practice services including:
- General Practitioner consultations
- Sexual health and contraceptive advice
- Travel advice and vaccinations
Appointments
To make a medical appointment, please call the Medical Centre reception on 6488 2118.
Standard appointments are 10 minutes in length. If you have a number of problems or a complex problem that you wish to discuss you should request a long appointment slot or be prepared to return for a number of visits.
Our doctors try to run on time. However, sometimes there are lengthy waiting times if urgent medical problems are being attended to.
The provision of quality health care requires a doctor-patient relationship of trust and confidentiality. Read our privacy policy if you have any questions or concerns on confidentiality.
Health Promotion Unit
There are a range of online health resources and services available, both within and outside UWA.
The University's Health Promotion Unit conducts health promotion activities across several health areas with a focus on Alcohol and other Drugs, Mental Health and Sexuality, Sexual Health and Relationships, working to ensure UWA students are Fit For Study while undertaking their selected course at UWA.
