Language and Cultural Exchange (LACE) is an intercultural friendship program open to postgraduates and staff at UWA.

LACE is free to join, and provides opportunities to meet people from different countries and cultures studying and working at UWA. It's a great way to get to know others and to learn more about the university. You can view photos from past LACE events here.

LACE runs frequent events throughout the academic year. Join us for morning and afternoon teas, cultural and sporting activities, family dinners, academic events and more!

LACE won the 2014 CISWA International Education Provider of the Year Award.

What members say about LACE

I like meeting people from different countries, and sharing with them the experiences of trying to adjust in Australia.

People are so friendly and easy going and easy to chat to, which is extremely valuable for people not knowing anybody. And you always meet with such big smiles that lighten up days and put worries aside.
