If you have received an offer for the 2013 Mature-age Access Program, you are invited to attend pre-semester Study Essentials sessions that will give you a head start on UWA studies.

Study Essential sessions

Study Essentials sessions happen on 6 and 7 February, after you have accepted your offer (by December 21st 2012), enrolled in your units (late January 2013) and received your student ID.

At the Study Essential sessions you will:

  • Meet staff from Student Support who can assist in your studies 
  • Hear from a panel of MAP students who have completed some of their studies 
  • Get advice about university writing and study skills 
  • Practice and get help using UWA email, timetable and other IT systems 
  • Be invited to ask questions about UWA admissions and study

The campus map has a search function to locate the Bayliss Building. The University website also provides guidance on transport and pay parking (the closest entrance is Hackett Entrance 2 off Hackett Drive).

There is no need to register beforehand. If your offer letter advises that attending a Study Essentials session is compulsory but you are unavailable on the scheduled dates, email Lisa.Cluett@uwa.edu.au as soon as possible.

O Week

O Week (orientation week) activities such as campus tours, mentor meet-up, faculty welcomes and commencement start on Monday 18th February 2013.
