UWA students have access to a range of accounts.
Some of these, summarised below, are centrally provided accounts. You should also check with your lecturer or local IT Support if they provide any other accounts.
Your initial central UWA student IT access account is generated automatically. It provides you with an email address that the University uses to communicate with you. It uses your Pheme username and password for login. Account details are provided when you activate your Pheme account.
You can upgrade the account initially provided to a UWA full access student account. The upgraded account include access to quota restricted internet and enables you to use:
A student wired network account lets you use a fixed cable to connect your computer into the UWA network while on campus.
The UWA VPN allows access to UWA networks when you're off campus. It uses your Pheme username, but has a different password for security reasons.
