The University area and all suburbs of Perth are well served by medical doctors.

Some doctors charge government-scheduled fees while others charge above scheduled fees. Ask about fees when making an appointment.

The University has a medical centre on campus, located on the second floor of the Guild Village.  Charges for services are generally the same as scheduled fees.

There are also a number of after-hours medical services in Perth.

HealthDirect (Telephone 1800 022 222) is a 24 hour, 7-day-a-week health advice service. Experienced nurses provide professional advice on whether a health concern is urgent and what to do about it.

Pharmacies/chemists

These are the only shops that sell prescription medicines. They also stock non-prescription drugs, medicines, medical and health supplies, toiletries and cosmetics.

Those close to campus are:

  • Broadway Fair Pharmacy, Broadway Fair Shopping Centre, 88 Broadway, Nedlands
  • Hollywood Pharmacy, 29A Hampden Road, Nedlands
  • Stirling Drive-In Pharmacy, 234 Stirling Highway, Claremont (open to 11pm every day).
