Wellbeing

UWA Law School has an ongoing commitment to the health, welfare and safety of all students and staff.  We believe small steps can make a big difference. With this in mind, we have developed 'Regroup, Reset, Recharge'. The program features opportunities and resources to help you maintain physical and emotional health throughout your studies.

Regroup is all about encouraging you to reconnect with your support systems.  Whether that be your peers, family, staff or counselling services.

Taking time to step away from whatever might be going on and to just restart can make a real difference.  Like the ALLY sign, the RESET sign will be used in the Law School to indicate to students that the office is a safe space where you can come to just sit or to talk to the staff member.  Whilst staff cannot assist with counselling or special considerations, they are there to lean on and to guide you towards further support where needed.

Recharge is all about the Law School helping you to be your healthiest.  The first exciting initiative we will be introducing is Walking Wednesday.  We all know a healthy body equals a health mind.  With that in mind, every second Wednesday students will be invited to join staff and peers on a 30 minute walk around campus and beautiful Matilda Bay.  Walks will commence at midday in the Courtyard.  Check out our facebook for dates.
