The University of Western Australia strongly supports the nationwide 'Respect. Now. Always.' campaign which highlights the determination of Australia's universities to ensure that our students and staff are safe from sexual assault and sexual harassment.
More information can also be found on UWA's Respect. Now. Always page.
UWA is partnered with other universities across Australia in the country’s first comprehensive national student survey on sexual assault and harassment. The survey is key to hearing what more needs to be done to prevent sexual assault and harassment and how to support students quickly and effectively.
Any university student who has not been selected in the survey sample but who would like to share their experience can do so confidentially via the Australian Human Rights Commission website.
The University encourages individuals to report incidents that may constitute a criminal offence to the Police/Police Sex Assault Squad in the first instance.
The following external and on campus advice and support services are available for students of UWA.
